Thanksgiving Food Bags for Families in Need, Greater Boston, MA

About 75 Sai volunteers of the Greater Boston subregion of the Northeast SSSIO-USA participated in a Thanksgiving service, distributing healthy groceries and nutritious fresh produce for more than 300 food insecure individuals in the Lowell community. Sai volunteers spread news of the event, bulk purchased grocery items and fresh produce, assembled and distributed the food bags. The event left joy and gratitude in both the recipients and volunteers and highlighted the importance of addressing the issue of food insecurity.

Nourishing Young Lives, Seattle Eastside, WA

Sai Spiritual Education students of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Seattle Eastside enthusiastically participated in a service project Pantry Packs, assembling more than 600 food packets for food insecure school children to bring home for the weekend. In the process, they learned an invaluable lesson about the joy of working cooperatively as a team to help their fellow students in need.

Community Outreach - Happiness Workshop, Houston, TX

A community outreach workshop, jointly organized by the Sri Sathya Sai Centers of North Houston and South Houston, TX, on the topic Happiness within Reach was conducted by Dr. Ramadevi Sankaran on 24 February 2024. The session was highly interactive and eye-opening. Many attendees actively participated in the discussions and raised many thoughtful questions.

Thanksgiving Food Drive, Orlando, FL

The Sri Sathya Sai Group of Orlando, FL, collaborated with businesses within a local community to conduct a Thanksgiving food drive. They collected about 500 lbs. of food items from customers in the community which were then delivered to three local agencies that serve persons in need.
