State of New York proclaims April 24th as Human Values Day  

The State of New York honored Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's legacy by declaring April 24th as Human Values Day. This proclamation, part of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Centennial Celebrations, was signed by Assembly Member Jenifer Rajkumar. She presented it to the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization in Queens, New York. The Sri Sathya Sai Organization of USA is a non-denominational, voluntary organization of over 200 centers located in all 50 states and coordinated by the Sri Sathya Sai Council of America established in 1975. It is part of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO) based in 126 countries. Its members come from all faiths and share a common purpose: to reach the ultimate goal of realization of their innate divinity by practicing love, self reflection, and selfless service.

The members of the Sri Sathya Sai Organization of USA strive toward the transformation of the heart through the expression of love in action, and join with members in over 2000 centers around the world in practicing the inspiring lessons of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Membership is free and open to all.

Sri Sathya Sai Centers in the USA provide a space for spiritual meetings of like-minded individuals, a communion of god-desiring people of all faiths. The goal of participation is ultimately the transformation of self and society. In Sai Centers sincere seekers, students of spirituality and service-minded volunteers gather for spiritual singing, devotional spiritual activities, participation in community service activities, and to study the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Friends of Trees: Beaverton, OR

Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Beaverton, OR, partnered with Friends of Trees on February 22, 2025, to plant 30 trees to counter deforestation and combat climate change. The tree planting activity also aligned with the SSSIO's (Sri Sathya Sai International Organization) global One Million Sai Trees initiative. Sai Center members expressed their joy in feeling a deeper connection with Nature and reflected on environmental stewardship as a path to realizing Divinity within Creation.

Ramadan Iftar Dinner: Dallas, TX

In the spirit of interfaith harmony, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Dallas, TX, hosted a Ramadan Iftar dinner on March 15, 2025, at the Community Unitarian Universalist Church in Plano, TX. About 100 people attended, including 40 guests from the Dialogue Institute of Dallas, The Mayor and the Police Lieutenant of Plano also graced the occasion. The program included an open house featuring the Dallas Sai Center service activities, presentations on the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and the significance of Ramadan, and a musical offering by the young adults. The event ended with the Iftar dinner lovingly served by Sai volunteers.

Sorting and Packing Surplus Medical Supplies: Pittsburgh, PA

For more than a decade, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Pittsburgh, PA, has volunteered monthly at Global Links, a nonprofit founded in 1989 that distributes surplus medical supplies to under-resourced communities. Sai volunteers sort and pack medical supplies for overseas shipment and assemble personal care kits for local needs. They find contributing to Global Links' mission of improving health globally and locally, immensely rewarding. Global Links staff are grateful for the Sai Center's constant dedication and valuable partnership.

Honoring Community Partners: South Houston, TX

Marking over four decades of dedicated collaboration, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of South Houston, TX, held a special celebration on December 14, 2024, to honor its community partners. The SSSIO (Sri Sathya Sai International Organization) members, along with their partners, have jointly provided invaluable service to the Houston community, including feeding the hungry, offering medical care, and implementing environmental initiatives. The event featured reflections from partner organizations, expressions of gratitude and commitment to future collaborations, and uplifting musical performances by Sai Spiritual Education students.

Regional Medical Camp: St. Louis, MO

In October 2024, SSSIO (Sri Sathya Sai International Organization) volunteers offered free medical services to over 100 diverse residents, including Afghan immigrants in St. Louis, MO. The services included flu shots, blood tests, various health screenings, and preventive education. Guests also participated in yoga and mindfulness sessions, received complimentary nutritious lunch, and children were given backpacks. Volunteers expressed deep satisfaction in serving the guests.

Sai 100 Blessed Blanket Project: North Central Region

Spearheaded by the Sai Spiritual Education children of the SSSIO-USA, North Central Region, the Sai 100 Blessed Blankets project unites SSSIO (Sri Sathya Sai International Organization) members of all ages in the Region to craft comforting fleece blankets for children in pediatric healthcare facilities. These blankets, made with love and compassion, offer both physical and emotional warmth to distressed young patients. Inspired by Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Centennial Celebrations the project has already surpassed its initial goal of 100 blankets with His Grace.

Community Eyeglasses Distribution: Northern California

Fifteen SSSIO volunteers from Northern California hosted a community eyeglasses distribution event at the Stockton Shelter for the Homeless, CA to administer basic eye tests and provide reading glasses to 80 individuals. The event significantly improved the lives of attendees, many of whom expressed deep gratitude for the improved ability to see.
