Gratitude in the Community, North-Central Region

Students from the North Central Region Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) program began their school year by practicing gratitude. SSE students from Milwaukee, WI, and Detroit, MI, handcrafted gratitude cards for police and school security officers to honor their role in ensuring the safety of their community. By visiting police stations and delivering personal messages, these young citizens learned to acknowledge the often-unseen sacrifices of others, demonstrating that character building begins with simple, heartfelt appreciation for those who ensure their safety.

Love is the Way, Lake Washington, WA

The Lake Washington SSE celebrated its SSE Annual Day on June 21, 2025, with the theme Love is the Way. Following an uplifting procession with Vedic chants and devotional singing, students presented their heartwarming exhibition. The younger children used interactive games to demonstrate values, while the older groups showcased discernment and harmony using examples from Ramayana. The oldest SSE students, after studying world faiths, concluded that all religions lead to love and unity. They also debuted the Sai Center Orchestra. The event affirmed the transformative power of SSE for 180 attendees.

Weaving Love and Service, Nashville, TN

Geetha Bhatt’s journey of service through fabric recycling, knitting, and empowering women reflects the power of small, purposeful actions. From creating tote bags for shelters to teaching mothers to crochet for income, her initiatives inspire sustainability, community, and love. Guided by Swami’s teachings, Geetha’s efforts uplift others, showing that meaningful change begins with dedication, creativity, and a heart full of service. Sai 100 Sadhana, Flushing, NY

In honor of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 100th birthday, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Flushing, NY, completed Sai 100 Sadhana throughout 2025. This collective spiritual offering united members across Devotion, Service, and Education Wings through daily chanting, scriptural readings, and 100 acts of kindness. Highlights included a 100-bhajan event, Rudram sessions, and a commemorative book of gratitude, all dedicated to fostering unity and practicing Service to Man is Service to God.

Annakut Offering - A Feast of Abundance and Gratitude, Houston, TX

As part of Diwali, Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Centennial and Avatar Declaration Day celebrations, Sri Sathya Sai Centers of North and South Houston held a memorable event on October 19, 2025, at Shri Krishna Vrindavan Temple, Sugar Land, TX. Over 200 devotees gathered for soulful bhajans, and a grand Annakut offering of more than 165 food items symbolizing diversity. The temple priest highlighted Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s oneness with Lord Krishna and the significance of Annakut. The offerings were blessed and shared as prasadam, filling the evening with devotion, love, and gratitude.

Irene’s life was beautifully shaped by the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, transforming her into a radiant instrument of service to humanity and nature. As a compassionate midwife, devoted nature lover, musician, and longtime contributor to Sai retreats, she expressed Baba’s message of Love All, Serve All, through daily acts of kindness.
