Massachusetts Recognizes the 100th Year of the Advent of Sri Sathya Sai Baba
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has officially recognized the centennial year of the advent of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, with both the Governor conferring a Citation and the House of Representatives issuing a Proclamation. Both awards were presented by State Representative Rodney Elliott of the 16th Middlesex District during a formal ceremony on July 17, 2025, in the House of Representatives Chamber at the Massachusetts State House; then again, on July 20, in the presence of the Sai community at the Sai Unity Center, Lowell, MA.
He presented the Proclamation to the Regional Officers of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO) – USA, Northeast Region, along with Center Officers and other members of the four Sri Sathya Sai Centers in the Greater Boston Area.
Deeply impressed by the universal message of Love All, Serve All and the emphasis on human values by Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Representative Elliott acknowledged the profound impact of the spiritual leader’s teachings on His followers, inspiring them to dedicate their lives to uplifting humanity. He has personally observed the selfless service of Sai Center members across the Greater Boston Area – including initiatives such as free health fairs for low-income communities, pantry services and creating community vegetable gardens to tackle food insufficiency, to list a few.
Representative Elliott was instrumental in commemorating this historic milestone, by collaborating with the Governor’s Office and the Massachusetts House of Representatives. On this auspicious occasion, Sai Center members of the Greater Boston area express their heartfelt gratitude and pray that Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s eternal message of love and service will continue to inspire and uplift all of humanity.
