Maple Seedlings Rescue, Lake Washington, WA

Sai volunteers from the Seattle area, led by the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Lake Washington, WA, launched a very unique Envirocare project to rescue 3,000 fragile maple seedlings from the forest floor. These young seedlings, vulnerable to natural threats, were carefully dug up, their delicate roots intact, and transplanted into trays, then moved to a volunteer's home for nurturing. Once grown, they will be planted along nature trails, to enhance the native tree population.

Shine with Sai, Mid-Central Region

During Memorial Day weekend 2025, the SSSIO-USA Mid-Central Region held its annual retreat in St. Louis, MO, themed "Shine with Sai." In addition to Dr. Ramadevi Sankaran inspiring attendees with stories of medical camp service worldwide and integrating Sai into one's daily life, Sai devotees knitted 100 baby caps for needy families as part of a SAI 100 service project. They were also uplifted by the devotional singing, and enjoyed engaging presentations by SSE children and a skit by the young adults with impactful messages. Participants left the retreat, spiritually uplifted and recharged, determined to shine with Sai through love and service.
