Care Packages for College Students from Foster Care, Northeast Region

Sai Young Adults from the Northeast Region packed 150 care packages, consisting of non-perishable food items, hygiene kits, stationery and handwritten positive messages. The care packages were delivered to homeless college students from the foster care system, so they would feel some comfort and care during the Thanksgiving holidays.

Afghan Families Resettlement Service, Columbia, MO

Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Columbia, MO, provide resettlement support to newly-arrived Afghan refugee families by delivering home-cooked meals and providing various household items. Future plans include mentoring and tutoring youth, and providing ESL classes.

Los Angeles Food Bank, Southern California

Due to the pandemic, SSSIO members of Southern California had to suspend many of their usual food service but found a golden opportunity to serve by volunteering at the Los Angeles Food Bank, packing groceries in boxes to be distributed to the food insecure.

Snack bags for the Homeless, Little Rock, AR

Volunteers from Sri Sathya Sai Center of Little Rock, AR, assembled 108 snack bags to distribute to the homeless in November 2021.
