Blanket Service For Project Linus, Albany, NY

Since March 2021, members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Albany have been involved in a service project making blankets for children who are orphaned, abused and underprivileged. Sai volunteers have so far made and delivered 250 blankets to Project Linus, a nonprofit organization that serves children in need, and another 95 blankets to the Alpha Pregnancy Center.

Reigniting the Bowery Food Service, New York City, NY

After a 2-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Bowery Food Service that had spanned over 40 years, and served 150-200 homeless people weekly, was resumed by Sri Sathya Sai Centers of Metropolitan, along with other New York City Sai Centers.  Reignited by the fire of devotion and a renewed commitment to Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s message of service, Sai volunteers now serve 50-60 people and hope to continue to expand the weekly feeding.

Soulard Meal Distribution to the Elderly, St. Louis, MO

For more than 30 years, members of the Sri Sathya Sai Centers of the Greater St. Louis area have been delivering meals twice a month to the elderly residents of two communities in the Soulard neighborhood.

STAR (Self-Transformation and Rehabilitation) at Project Pride, YAs of Northern California

STAR (Self-Transformation and Rehabilitation) at Project Pride is a 7-week program offered by the SSSIO Young Adults of Northern California to women with a history of substance abuse living in a residential facility. While the goal was to equip the women with life skills and personal self-confidence to tackle their life challenges, Sai YA volunteers found that the experience had benefited them greatly as well.
