Day on the Beach, Santa Cruz, CA
SSSIO members from Northern California volunteered at the ‘Day on the Beach’ on July 9, 2022 at Cowell’s Beach in Santa Cruz, CA. This annual event sponsored by Shared Adventures provides individuals with differing abilities and their families an opportunity to enjoy various water sports such as kayaking. SSSIO volunteers provided and served food and organized various fun activity booths for the guests to enjoy.
Celebrating Earth Day, San Jose, CA
Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Center of Central San Jose held various Earth Day activities for the children at the Voices Academy in San Jose, which included helping the children build a vegetable garden and beautify their school grounds with flowering plants. They also organized various educational and fun hands-on activities that taught the students environmentally sustainable practices.
Free Community Medical Camp, Baton Rouge, LA
About 30 SSSIO volunteers from Louisiana and Texas partnered with St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Baton Rouge, LA to host the first SSSIO free medical screening camp on June 11, 2022 for the underserved community of the parish.
