8th Love All Serve All Free Medical Clinic
On April 11, 2026, 329 community members received free, comprehensive care — a landmark day powered by volunteers, providers, and partners
A Day of Grace
By Swami's abundant grace, the 8th Love All Serve All (LASA) Free Medical Clinic opened its doors on Saturday, April 11, 2026 — and what unfolded was nothing short of extraordinary. Offering more than 15 specialties services, the LASA Clinic provided 329 community members free compassionate healthcare, making this the most expansive clinic in the event's history. Behind every consultation, every diagnosis, and every reassuring word stood a team of 65+ providers and medical staff, 75+ volunteers, and a network of committed community partners.
New Doors Opened — Including One That Began at 30,000 Feet
This year's clinic proudly introduced three first-time services: pulmonology, ultrasound imaging, and communicable disease screenings offered with support of MAPS (Massachusetts Association of Portuguese Speakers). Each addition reflects the clinic's ongoing commitment to deepen the scope of care it can offer.
The story behind pulmonology services is one that captures the spirit of this entire medical mission. Two years ago, one of our members happened to sit beside a pulmonologist on a flight from India. During the conversation, arose the topic of the clinic and what it stood for. Moved by the clinic’s mission, the provider made a quiet commitment — and this April, he drove all the way from Maine to be part of the clinic, helping launch an entirely new specialty for the community.
A beautiful reminder of how Swami works in mysterious ways — and how a single conversation can plant a seed that blossoms into healing for hundreds.
The People Who Made It Happen
A clinic of this scale runs on the energy, dedication, and love of the people behind it. This year's team was particularly inspiring — not just in numbers, but in the spirit.
A remarkable 40% of volunteers were young adults, and they took full ownership of interpretation services — coordinating 20+ interpreters drawn from in-house volunteers and external partners at Lowell General Hospital, ensuring every visitor could communicate and receive care in a language they understood.
Ten or more student observers also participated, experiencing firsthand what service in action looks like. The Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) children brought their own energy to the cause, taking initiative to distribute flyers at local stores and facilities ahead of clinic day. The cooking team kept every volunteer and provider nourished through breakfast and lunch. The supplies team ensured everything was in place before the first visitor arrived. And the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) nurses, who have seen many clinics, specifically commended the professionalism and warmth of the volunteer team.
A More Organized, More Confident Clinic
Beyond the numbers, this year marked a meaningful evolution in how the clinic operated. For the first time, a structured pre-clinic setup and post-clinic cleanup model was introduced — bringing greater calm and clarity to both the opening and the close of the day. Outreach was divided thoughtfully across multiple groups, enabling wider community reach and more genuine engagement. Volunteers attended targeted orientation sessions ahead of clinic day, and arrived informed, confident, and ready — and it showed.
These operational improvements were not just logistical wins. They reflected a maturing, mission-driven team that is learning, refining, and growing with each clinic.
Grounded in Partnership
The clinic's reach does not happen in isolation. Enduring partnerships with Upper Merrimack Valley (UMV)-Medical Reserve Corp (MRC), Lowell Community Health Center (LCHC), Lowell General Hospital, the City of Lowell's Health Department, and Greater Lowell Health Alliance (GLHA) form the backbone of the clinic's sustainability and community trust. These relationships, built over years, are what allow the clinic to keep expanding its offerings and serving those who need it most.
Looking Ahead with Gratitude
As the day drew to a close and the last visitor was seen, what lingered was something beyond statistics — a feeling of collective accomplishment. Heartfelt gratitude goes out to every person who contributed their time, energy, and love before, during, and after clinic day. Events like these are a testament to what can be achieved when hearts truly unite in service.
"When hearts unite in service, miracles become routine."
The team looks forward to reconnecting and building on this momentum as planning begins for the Fall 2026 Clinic in October.
