Public Outreach: Ancient Wisdom for a Modern World: Riverside, CA
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, Sai Prema Nilayam in Riverside, California, hosted a special outreach program, “Awakening the Soul: Ancient Wisdom for a Modern World”, in response to an interest expressed by the Riverside Interfaith Council, who wished to learn more about Sri Sathya Sai Baba, His universal teachings, and the mission of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO).
Approximately 25 guests attended the outreach event. Following a brief meet-and-greet session, the President of the SSSIO-USA Southern California Region, Mrs. Seema Miller, warmly welcomed the visitors and introduced Sri Sathya Sai Baba and His message of universal love and selfless service. Her remarks set the tone for an afternoon, dedicated to understanding, fellowship, and shared spiritual values.
A short video presentation on the life and teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba was shown, providing attendees with an overview of His message and the global humanitarian initiatives inspired by His teachings. A brief introduction to the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization and its three principal wings followed: Sai Spiritual Education (SSE), Devotion and Service. Guests learned how these three pillars work cohesively to promote character development, spiritual growth, and service to humanity
The program ended with a peaceful musical offering that created an uplifting atmosphere. Following, guests participated in an engaging question-and-answer session, allowing them to explore Baba’s teachings in greater depth, and learn more about the activities and values of the SSSIO. The gathering concluded with light refreshments, including sandwiches, fresh fruit, and juice. The refreshments provided an opportunity for informal fellowship and meaningful conversations between visitors and Sai members.
Throughout the afternoon, the central message that resonated with visitors was Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s timeless teaching: “Love All, Serve All.” This principle was not only discussed, but was experienced, through the warmth, hospitality, and spirit of service demonstrated by the volunteers and members of Sai Prema Nilayam.
As guests departed, many reflected on the universal message that permeated the afternoon: love, unity, and selfless service. The program beautifully introduced the members of the Riverside Interfaith Council to the teachings and mission of Sathya Sai Baba while fostering meaningful dialogue and mutual respect among people of diverse faiths and backgrounds.
