Community Sai Garden, Greater Boston Sai Centers, MA

During the Memorial Day weekend, Sai volunteers of the SSSIO-USA Northeast Region began constructing 12 additional raised garden beds in the community garden at the Sai Unity Center in Lowell, MA. This initiative, started in 2023, aims to provide fresh produce for local families and college students. The project has been a collaborative success that fosters community spirit and sustainable living, and addresses food insecurity within the community.

The World Bird Sanctuary, Mid-Central Region

Since 2016, the Mid-Central Region of SSSIO-USA has been dedicated to serving its adopted community, the World Bird Sanctuary. SSSIO members have made significant contributions in various ways. Through unwavering commitment, they have become integral to the sanctuary community, both in developing a profound appreciation for its vital mission and a holistic approach to serving the avian population with compassion and care.

Spreading love with money plants, North Central Region SSE

The SSE Student Council in the North Central region of the SSSIO-USA launched a project to promote gardening as a wellness activity. They chose the resilient and air-purifying money plant to distribute to their Sai community. They repurposed plastic bottles and glass jars for distributing the cuttings. The project generated great interest in gardening in Sai members of all ages and improved their home environments, while fostering a deeper connection to nature. Participants experienced the joy of nurturing life, while benefiting from cleaner air, reduced stress and a sense of calmness.

Blood Drive - A Flow of Love, Northern California

On July 20, 2024, SSSIO members in Northern California conducted a successful blood drive in collaboration with Standford Blood Center. To their delight, forty-five volunteers generously stepped forward to donate 28 units of blood, with the potential of saving about 84 lives! SSSIO members look forward to organizing many such successful blood drives in the Region.
