Adopt-A-Road, Northeast Atlanta, GA
Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Northeast Atlanta have been diligently clearing up litter along the road in Forsyth County designated to their care. The Adopt-A-Road initiative not only benefits the community but is also a rewarding bonding experience for the volunteers, who take great pride and delight in maintaining the cleanliness of their adopted road.
Founders Festival Parade, Detroit, MI
The Sri Sathya Sai Center of Detroit Metro participated in the Farmington Founders Festival Parade to raise awareness of the SSSIO's service mission and its embrace of human values. During the parade, Sai Center members joyfully carried signs illustrating human values and engaged the crowds with uplifting songs promoting friendship, love and unity within the community.
Monthly Groceries for Tiny Home Villages, Seattle, WA
Sai volunteers who have been building tiny homes to combat homelessness in Seattle, WA, have expanded their service to provide monthly groceries and welcome kits to the residents. This generous support of the residents' journey to stability has been met with deep gratitude for ensuring both food security and safe housing for the homeless community.
Pueblo Trees, Jemez-Pueblo, NM
SSSIO members of Southwest USA contributed to the SSSIO One million Sai Trees initiative by planting 32 trees on the Jemez Pueblo land in April 2024. This was a joint effort with Pueblo members, involving an uplifting day of cultural immersion in age-old divinely-inspired values and customs. It included a gathering circle for Tewa prayers and a traditional Butterfly Dance to bless the trees. The day was a beautiful representation of building community spirit across faiths that left all participants filled with joy.
