On December 14, 2024, the Sri Sathya Sai Center of South Houston (SSSCSH), TX, held a heartfelt ceremony to recognize its community partners who have provided significant support in meeting its mission of selfless service. As part of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO), SSSCSH embodies the values of love, truth, peace, non-violence and right conduct, providing vital services ranging from feeding the hungry, organizing medical camps, to planting trees and assisting refugees, all demonstrating a commitment to serving the Houston community.

The ceremony honored key collaborators such as Turning Point Center, New Life Temple Church and Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, who reflected on their shared accomplishments. In the past year alone, SSSCSH and its partners harvested 5,000 pounds of vegetables for local families, served over 6,700 meals, and provided free healthcare to 200 guests during health fairs. The partners praised the dedication of SSSCSH volunteers, particularly their effectiveness in providing healthcare services. A commemorative plaque was presented to the SSSCSH in recognition of their more than 40 years of dedicated service to the community.

Beyond honoring past achievements, the event reinforced the bonds among the community partners, opening doors for future collaboration to promote Houston's health and vibrancy. Sai Spiritual Education students provided musical accompaniment, setting a festive tone for the evening. In keeping with the SSSIO’s ongoing mission of serving and uplifting community, the event highlighted the power of teamwork and value of community collaboration in building a compassionate and harmonious society.
