The State of New York honored the legacy of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for serving as an exemplary spiritual institution and an inexhaustible wellspring of selfless love and humanity for a century by declaring April 24th as Human Values Day.

To commemorate Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Centennial Celebrations, the proclamation was personally written by Jenifer Rajkumar, New York State Assembly Member, 38th District. Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar presented the proclamation to the Regional Officers of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO)-USA, Mid-Atlantic Region and the Center Officers of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Flushing, New York at the Aradhana Day Program held in Queens, New York on April 26th. Sri Sathya Sai Baba devotees all over the world observe Aradhana Day on 24th April, as a day to honor their loving Teacher, His life and legacy by remembering Him and practicing His teachings.

Ms. Jenifer has been inspired by the message and life of the revered Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who provided spiritual guidance to millions of people from around the world, promulgating the universal human values of Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love, and Non-Violence. She said that Sri Sathya Sai Baba empowered and uplifted devotees, teaching that every single person is an Embodiment of the Divine, rightfully earning the appellation of “Pure Love Walking on Two Feet."
