Mid-Central Region Women’s Retreat
The Mid-Central Region held its first women’s retreat on Oct 29 & 30, 2022 in Nashville, TN. The theme of the retreat was Inquiry, Intuition and Inner Strength based on the three of the seven spiritual powers that Sri Sathya Sai Baba attributed to women, with a focus on how to discover these powers within us and manifest them in our day-to-day life. Manifesting these powers involves supporting one other through the spirit of sisterhood. During that weekend, Sai sisters, one and all, felt united and experienced divine love through a well-planned program of workshops, panel discussion and inspiring speakers.
Topics ranged from unmasking of the authentic self (the Atma), to the vital role of intuition in harnessing the inner voice that connects us to the divinity within. Panelists shared what they learned from striving to live the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, and how spiritual powers can be manifested in daily life. Discussions focused on the importance of taking time for self-inquiry and self-care. Finally, all had an opportunity to participate in a group service project.
The program was great. More importantly, it gave the participants the opportunity to go right to the core of their spiritual powers and experience true sisterhood as they worked together like fingers of one hand. It was, all in all, a beautiful, spiritually uplifting and nourishing event.
Some attendees shared the impact the retreat had on them spiritually and the profound sense of belonging and love that they experienced: “The women’s retreat was a beautiful gathering of women of all ages, coming together in joy, love, and laughter! I felt I had gone on a pilgrimage and my soul had been cleansed. It was a transformative and uplifting experience. The speakers shared many wonderful life lessons that were impactful.” Another reflected, “Despite all odds, I ended up at the retreat because I probably needed it the most! I felt Sai Grace flowing throughout. I continue to experience that bliss to this day. It is a feeling that needs to be experienced, and cannot be expressed in words!”
