You must get out of this narrow groove, outgrow your selfish tendencies and learn to regard the whole of mankind as one family. That is true service. Few have such a large-hearted approach today.

Service initiatives and events are conducted at the national level on a periodic and need basis. A call for support and service across regions and centers is established and a centralized approach is used to manage these initiatives. Service initiatives relate to education, humanitarian/disaster relief, community events, health care and environmental issues.
The following initiatives have been identified at the national level:
- Louisiana Hurricane Support
- National Schoolwork Assistance Initiative (S. A. I.) Tutoring Program
- Sai Cares Regional Service Projects
- National Refugee Support
